Panel Discusses the State of Education in the United States

On January 20, a panel discussed the challenges facing education in the United States today.  Earlier in the month, two films had been shown at the community center, "Waiting for Superman" and "American Teacher".

Friends Presents an Open Discussion About Hydraulic Fracturing and the Film "Gasland"

On November 8th and 10th, the film, "Gasland" was shown at the Community Center Auditorium.  The discussion that followed was rich and balanced.  The reviews of those who attended were excellent. Please enjoy the video presentation of the discussion.

 


Friends of Boca Grande Community Center is a non-profit organization.  Its purpose is to support and enhance the programs, services, and facilities at the Community Center through financial contributions and volunteer efforts.  By means of proactive discussions, Friends works to maintain a productive relationship with Boca Grande residents as well as with Lee County staff and officials.

 

The mission of the Friends of Boca Grande Community Center is to provide educational, cultural, and recreational programs for an enhanced quality of life in the Boca Grande community in collaboration with Lee County and other organizations.
